Banksy is pseudonymous street artist who’s work borders on one hand from satire and humor to political and social commentary and activism. His distinct style is quite reminiscent of the works of Blek le Rat mostly using stenciled graffiti as his medium of expression. His work pops up in cities around the world mostly expressing very serious political and social views. This as well as his anonymity makes him one of the most popular street artists in the world. His quite paradoxical statement that “art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable” is our quote of the week. We would love to hear your opinions on this. Do you agree or disagree and why?
